Trail Watch Guidelines
Official guidelines as set out by BC Parks. Please ensure every volunteer in your group is familiar with the guidelines.
Below you can find a list of all documents and forms that you will need access to to successfully run a trail maintenance trip.
You can also access all relevant forms and docs directly on our shared Google Drive.
Please make sure you have documents saved for offline use. Most trailheads don’t have cell service.

Use this template to share your trail maintenance plan with our group of volunteers.
This waiver needs to be signed by every volunteer. It will only need to be signed once by each volunteer per season. This waiver ensures we are covered under the BC Parks insurance.
At the end of each trail watch trip it’s the Trail Captain’s responsibility to report back to us with any work that has been completed. Please use this form to share all details with us. We will then pass it on to BC Parks.
This checklist is to be used at the trailhead. As trail captain, you are responsible for ensuring everyone’s safety. Please run through the checklist with your volunteers to make sure everyone is aware of all safety measures.
